Belt Inspiration
Belts! They don't just have to keep your pants up, they can also be a perfect accessory to upgrading your outfit. After going through my closet, I realized I had so many belts that I forgot about because they were shoved in a drawer. Once I went through them, I found some really cool colors and styles that I knew would be perfect for a casual outfit becoming even cuter. Ive recently been trying to get creative with how to style them for different occasions. I HIGHLY suggest you invest in a few belts because they are timeless and will really up your fashion game. I even look for them at thrift stores to hopefully grab an interesting new style that isn't crazy expensive.
Belts have always been in the fashion game but have been ignored for years. It really is an insider secret that adding a belt will make any outfit pop. They are cheap and literally in every retail store so don't hesitate to take a look when your out shopping. The iconic "Gucci Belt" in 2018 has brought back its popularity, but I promise you, you don't have to pay $500 to look or feel stylish. I have a variety of belts to show you for some inspiration that can make you feel stylish as hell...or just keep your pants up.
This beauty was found at Target for a very reasonable price and I'm not gonna lie, it doesn't really do a good job of holding up a loose pair of jeans, but it definitely is my favorite belt to add to an outfit. It completely changes it from casual to fancy with just this one accessory.
To add on to the sparkle theme, this belt from the Gap adds a lot more excitement to an outfit. I love the rows of studs on this, it stands out so much more than any plain belt. Having one sparkly belt is always a statement in your closet. It will come in handy for any party or nice event where you don't feel like dressing up.
If you're not big on standing out too much from the sparkles, this extra long plain white belt has become a craze this past season. I have seen these all over stores and they definitely add a trendy style to your fit. This is so versatile and fun that give off a L.A. vibe.
Color might scare you off but...pro tip: I own a lot of red clothes, so I knew I had a lot of options to wear a red belt, so if there's a color you love that you wear frequently, definitely find a matching belt.
Now this belt is my absolute favorite. Remember, I mentioned earlier that thrift shops were a good place to look...I wasn't lying. I found this in Long Beach at Buffalo Exchange and fell in love. Im moving to Washington next year so I knew I had to get an accessory that reminds me of home.
Finally, what you all already have in your closets...a plain Jane thick brown belt. EVERYONE should have one if these, it's a necessity.
And for the most basic of them all, the plain black belt with a silver buckle. I hope you already have one of these babies, or all your pants must fit you perfectly already.
