Pairing New with Old
This weekend was President's Day, which means sale, sale, sale! So, of course I had to go shopping. Forever 21 had a big sale where most items were $10 or less. PacSun also had a huge sale in which clothes were an additional 70% off. I was extremely excited, so I bought a few new things I thought I would share with you. I realized while shopping that winter clothes are on their way out and spring is on its way in. So, keep your eye out for new spring looks and some good winter sales.
Because it's still rainy and cold in the Bay Area, I bought a camouflage long sleeve and paired it with jeans, tights, and a simple black shirt that I had in my closet. To ensure my outfit was fun, I wore my new black patten booties with a clear block heel. Don't forget to dig around in your drawers, you might find something old to pair with those new clothes.
Next, I tried to add some spring colors into my closet to brighten up my wardrobe. I finally bought a bodysuit which is actually really comfortable, plus I love the pale pink color. I paired it with a striped oxford shirt which is a staple in my closet. It goes with many different outfits and works with any season.
Lastly, I bought a few new pieces for my spring wardrobe. I found a cute patterned denim skirt and matched it with a plain white tank I had in my drawer. To give it a beach vibe, I paired it with a straw hat and sunglasses.
I wanted to separately mention my accessories. Adding jewelry, shoes, or sunglasses definitely helped my outfits pop and add a little style to them.
